Baby Eta learned to climb my hand. She is a very tame baby.
Baby Eta is the most multi-color rock iguana that we have. Eta had been getting lots of orange, coral and red color on the dewlap, lower jaw and chest area and at the same time there are nice blue colors popping out on the neck, back and sides. I believe Eta will be a very colorful and gorgeous rock iguana as she matures and grows bigger.
Another interesting fact about Eta, he is naturally tame and not afraid of people. She jumps and climbs on me without fear as I handle him. Eta is very curious about everything and constantly likes to explore the territory and “go places”. Eta is very active iguana and likes attention from people. Eta is an excellent pet!
Baby Eta is in his first shed and his new multi-colors popped up. He really stands out with great blue spots already and multi-colors all-over her body. I am very happy to see these patterns in this little girl. Eta is definitely unique.
Recently baby Eta had been showing some interest in climbing me and perching on my shoulders, neck and head. She really likes it now. So I took a video and couple of photos. Enjoy!
Watch Eta (upper, center screen) is in this video below. She is basking with other Rock Iguana babies.
Eta was one of the last ones to hatch and came out at 54 grams. Her coloration and patterns are very beautiful and she has deep grey tones that most likely will develop into blue colors as he grows. Eta is strong and very active baby. His minor imperfection is the kink at the end tip of his tail and it make the tail tip appear to be bent (see photos below). This tip of the tail gives Eta a distinctive appearance and adds to her unique character. The kink in the tail may get straighter with age or may break off at one point since it is right at the tip and may regrow or may remain as is. It is cosmetic detail and does not appear to be effecting her in any way. Eta will be a beautiful Rock Iguana pet. Click on each photo to see close-up details.
